Most people in residential aged care facilities (RACFs) take medicines, and many take multiple medicines for different health conditions. While medicines make a significant contribution to preventing and treating disease, increasing life expectancy and improving quality of life. They also have the potential to cause harm. Inappropriate or incorrect use of medicines can have an adverse effect on health. This topic focuses on safe medication management and meeting ACFI requirements.
